Short-term and travel Mohs tech coverage
When your tech is out, your Mohs schedule doesn't have to stop. Mohs Pros covers specific dates with per diem techs in California and, when one is available, travel techs in other states.
What is per diem Mohs tech coverage?
Per diem coverage means a trained Mohs tech works in your lab on the specific dates you choose, such as a vacation or a leave, instead of on a standing weekly schedule. Travel coverage is the same thing for a lab outside California, when a Mohs Pros tech is available to travel to it.
When practices ask for short-term cover
- Your tech is on vacation, sick leave or parental leave
- Your tech has left and you're hiring a replacement
- You've added surgery days or a surgeon and need help until you staff up
- You're opening a new Mohs lab and want a trained tech from day one

- Yes, per diem cover can be for specific dates. Put the dates in your request and Mohs Pros will tell you what it can cover.
- Do you send travel techs outside California?
- When one is available. Outside California, Mohs Pros checks whether a travel tech can cover your dates. If not, your practice goes on the waitlist for your state.
- How are travel costs handled?
- They are worked out in your custom quote. Mohs Pros does not publish rates.
